Travel Vaccinations
Please note that we do not offer Travel Advice Consultation appointments.
If you are travelling abroad and need travel advice, please contact and book an appointment with an Independant Travel Clinic. Take a copy of your vaccination history with you. They will advise you of the necessary vaccinations and precautions required to individual destinations and can provide them for a fee.
We will continue to provide the vaccines available free within the NHS contract (should the travel clinic tell you that you need them) which are:
- Polio (given as a combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio jab)
- Typhoid
- Hepatitis A
- Cholera
If the travel clinic confirm that you, as anamed individual, require them and need to book an appointment for the free NHS vaccines please ensure you have documentation from the travel clinic showing that a) YOU NEED them and b) WHEN YOU LAST had them. You can obtain some of this information from your NHS app under (Immunisations/Vaccinations) and take it with you to the travel clinic
For information on what you may need for different countries visit: https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries.
You will need to bring all of the above written documentation with you to your appointment at the surgery.
Our nurses will not provide vaccinations without all of the required information/documentation from the travel clinic as detailed above, or any vaccinations outside of those detailed above.
You should allow at least 8 weeks before your travel date.
